About the project
A neglected stone house in the center of Betina has been reconstructed and redesigned as a comfortable holiday home. As the clients are enthusiasts of contemporary design, the entire house was conceived and organized in a modern manner, using natural materials such as wood, steel, and concrete.

The contemporary design establishes a dynamic relationship with the existing stone walls, old timber beams, and other retained elements of the house, which appear particularly expressive in contrast with the clean, restrained lines of the new insertions.
In almost every part of the house, off-the-shelf elements were avoided; instead, all furniture, as well as the external joinery and metalwork, were individually designed and custom-made.

The third floor is our absolute favorite. A freestanding bathtub, a huge bed positioned at the center of the room, a spacious walk-in wardrobe, a stunning bathroom with glass basins, a workspace, an exercise area, and a gallery for gazing at the stars and the sea… We were left speechless… Perfect! Just like being on a ship…
