About the project
The neglected medieval palace in the Old Town of Korčula has been fully reconstructed and converted into a luxury boutique hotel. The existing structural stone elements and stone ornamentation have been preserved and presented, while the poor-quality recent additions have been replaced with contemporary interventions of a restrained yet clearly modern expression, in dialogue with the historic fabric.

The new program requires a high level of comfort supported by extensive newly inserted infrastructure, which is not inherently compatible with the existing building. As a result, it is integrated into the structure through various complex and non-standard solutions.

With its refinement and elegance, Lešić Dimitri Palace enriches the island’s rich history and cultural heritage. Over the course of five years, the former 18th-century bishop’s palace was meticulously restored and transformed into a luxurious boutique hotel, offering each guest a first-class experience and every comfort for a relaxing stay.
