About the project
The proposal for post-earthquake reconstruction in the Banovina region is a prefabricated timber family house with a base floor area of 55 m², with the possibility of expanding the usable space to 70 m² or 85 m².

The house is conceived on the principles of traditional rural construction: the living spaces are located on the upper floor, while the ground level forms an undefined, covered open space within a system of columns, structurally braced for seismic resistance. This flexible ground-floor area allows for various auxiliary agricultural functions required in a rural household, such as a garage, shed, or tool storage.
