About the project

Villa Hortensia in Čikat Bay on Mali Lošinj, completed in 2015, represents a luxurious facsimile reconstruction of the original Austro-Hungarian villa from 1911.

The building is slender, white, and elegant, nestled within a dense Mediterranean garden. Although its original architecture did not emerge from the coastal vernacular tradition, it nevertheless blends harmoniously with the greenery and the deep blue of Čikat Bay.

The project encompasses 1,000 m² of superbly designed interior and exterior space, featuring seven luxuriously appointed bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and sea-view terrace, as well as a lounge area and wellness zone where historical style is seamlessly combined with modern comfort and contemporary design.

Surrounding the villa is a lavish private garden designed by landscape architect Nataša Tiška, which also includes a heated swimming pool.

Villa Hortensia is an elegant Austro-Hungarian beauty from the early 20th century. Offering a high degree of privacy thanks to its seaside location sheltered by century-old pine trees, the villa, following its renovation, radiates sophisticated luxury. Its traditional architecture has been refreshed with a touch of modern style, designer furnishings, and carefully selected details.
